Betty C. Dowdy Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Betty C. Dowdy of Dublin, Virginia, who passed away on November 14, 2023, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, John H. Corell and Leah Sue Ballard; her siblings, Eileen T. Martin and Jim Corell; and her husband Norman W. Dowdy.
She is survived by: her children, Sandy Dowdy Singleton, Tammy Dowdy Sayers (Eddie) and Norman "Buck" Dowdy (Christy) of Dublin; her grandchildren, Holly Dowdy of Dublin, Zane Yopp of Salem, Jed Singleton (Callie) of Pulaski and Ciara Smith (Corey) of Christiansburg; her great grandchildren, Landyn Hughes, Rory Singleton, Boone and Maren Smith; and her friends, Dinah Toney, Betty Ann Robertson, Joey Earles, Shirley Martin, Mary Hall and Jim Cook.
