He is survived by: his wife Threcia Burton Matney; his children, Karen Annette Matney Lane, Kelsey Hodge, Terry Nelson Matney, Sherry Montgomery and Newbern; his stepchildren, Sherry Burton Moore and Ricky Burton; his grandchildren, Ginger Ratcliffe, Mitchell Matney and Laura Matney; and his siblings, Carless Matney (Geraldine), Ronnie Matney (Carol), Lois Davis (Wayne) and Freda Bowman (Eddie). He is also survived by Four Step Grandchildren, Seven Great Grandchildren, Four Step Great Grandchildren and Four Great Great Grandchildren.
