With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Alfred Spangler (Dublin, Virginia), born in Rich Creek, Virginia, who passed away on September 15, 2020 at the age of 84. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Oren Lee "Togo" and Evelyn Macie Shaw Spangler; his former wife Emma Sue Bernard Spangler; and his siblings, Euna, Jean Spangler and Lewis Spangler.
He is survived by: his wife Linda Trent Spangler of Peterstown, WV; his stepchildren, Robert Janney of Peterstown, WV and Sherry Janney Miller (Jimmy) of Bland, VA; and also Craig Sandras.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made in Al's name to the First Baptist Church in Rich Creek, VA (300 Knob Street, Rich Creek, VA 24147) or the Catawba Hospital (5525 Catawba Hospital Dr., Catawba, VA 24070).
