He was predeceased by: his parents, Buford Stapleton and Zessie Stapleton; and his siblings, Clinton Stapleton, Carl Wade Stapleton and Peggy Stapleton.
He is survived by: his wife Patricia Stapleton (Doss); his daughter Christi Stapleton of Dryden, VA; his significant other Clay Speck; his son Jerry Allen Stapleton of Fayetteville, NC; his sister Elizabeth Myers (Bill) of Jonesville, VA; and his granddaughters, Rilee and Abbie. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, family and a host of many friends.
