He was predeceased by: his wife Sharon Powers Peters; his parents, Henry J. Peters, Sr. and Gladys McPherson Peters; and his siblings, Virginia Kate Cox Jessen, Cecil Peters, Howard Peters and Glen Peters.
He is survived by: his children, Dawn Gardner (Wade), Greg Peters (Karen) and Lisa Peters; his grandchildren, Alexandra Valdez, Sarah Glass (Tony), Savannah Valdez, Katherine Hewitt (John), Marshall Peters and Rachel Coughenour (Garritt); and his siblings, Phyllis Barney (late Chris), Linda Thompson (late Jerry), Jimmy Peters (Lynn) and Paul Peters (Kathy). He is also survived by three great-grandchildren.
