He was predeceased by: his parents, John Paul and Hattie Cleyo; and his siblings, Colleen, John Quinton and Michael Joe.
He is survived by: the mother of his children Mary Mosley Newton of Dryden, VA; his children, Jared, Bradley and Stacie; his grandchildren, Jared and Tara Newton of Jonesville; his great grandchildren, Case and Riot; his grandson Bradley; his great grandchildren, Sammi Newton of Jonesville, Harper, Jesse and Stacie Wilson of Duffield; his siblings, Paul Eddie "Fig" Newton, Kenneth Newton, Daryl Newton, Thelma Welch, Alice Quiet and Stephanie Newton; his nephews, BJ Welch (Teresa Kennedy), Lee Cooper and Mike Bledsoe; and also, Brooklyn and Brynlee. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, family, and beloved friends.
