She was predeceased by: her parents, Lundy Dowell and Eula Dowell; her sisters, Etta Lee Cox, Della Jones, Shelby Dowell and Barbara Kittrell; her daughter Rhonda Harless; and her grandson David Barnette Jr..

She is survived by: her children, Connie Bruner (Ray Bruner), Deborah Jones (Steve Jones), Carolyn Barnette Crusenberry (Darrell) and Douglas Harless (Linda Doss Harless); her grandchildren, Sherry Harless, Stephanie Harless Whisman (Chris), Chris Jones (Andrea), Lacey Fischer, Angie Harless Tignor (Shannon), Ashley Bruner MacDonnell (Brian) and Tiffini Edwards Myers (Brandon); and her siblings, Junior Lundy Dowell (Faye) and Sandra Dowell Cheek. She is also survived by 15 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandchild and another great great grandchild.
