He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Patton Short and Georgia Marcum Short; and his sister Patty Cox. He is survived by: his wife Debbie Short; his daughters, Stacey Kirk (Bucky) of Watkinsville, GA and Amanda Short; his grandchildren, Rylie, Tucker, Aidan and Sawyer Kirk; and his siblings, Oneta Bollinger (George) of Versailles, KY, John Short (Joy) of Tazewell, TN, William Short (Barbara) of Rose Hill, VA and Thomas Short of Pennington Gap, VA. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews; and many friends.
Due to Covid-19 regulations only ten people at a time inside or outside of the funeral home and the cemetery.
