It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mary Willis of Dry Fork, Virginia, who passed away on February 11, 2025, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Carl Clyde Gatliff and Helen Dora Lybarger White; her husband James Nathanel Willis; her grandson Billy Hall; her son-in-law Phillip Hylton; and her brothers, Gary Gatliff, Wayne Tackett and Ralph White.
She is survived by: her children, Tracie Jackson (Brydon) of Fayetteville, NC, Brenda Hylton of Dry Fork, Bonnie Greene (Terry) of Danville, Randall Scott Fowlkes of Danville, Michael Fowlkes of Dry Fork and Jerry Fowlkes of Dry Fork; her siblings, Melissa Foreman of Brookville, OH, Catherine Hawk (Jeff) of Brookville, OH and Lewis White of New Jersey; and her grandchildren, Brandon Fowlkes, Nathan Fowlkes (Hannah), Lauren Fowlkes, Jeffrey Hall (Christy), Brian Fowlkes, Corey Fowlkes, Aaron Fowlkes, Gavin Hylton (Kaitlin), Skyler Key (Tyler), Josh Fowlkes, Alex Cyrus (Sage), Brydon Jackson and Reagan Jackson. She is also survived by 21 great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Sunday, February 16th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Colbert-Moran Funeral Home, Inc. (307 Main St, Gretna, VA 24557). A memorial service was held on Sunday, February 16th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Colbert-Moran Chapel (307 Main St, Gretna, VA 24557).
In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions be made to Dry Fork Volunteer Fire Department, 4860 Dry Fork Road, Dry Fork, VA 24549.
