She was predeceased by: her parents, Violet McGregor Ricketts and Ernest Dudley Ricketts. She is survived by: her husband William Edward Compton, Jr.; her children, Sarah Walden (John), Teresa Duncan, Ricky and William III; and her siblings, Janet Hodnett, Janice Cahill, Joan Knapp and Pete Ricketts. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
