It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Dewey Shafter Looney Jr. (Dry Fork, Virginia), born in Roanoke, Virginia, who passed away on December 14, 2022, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Dewey Shafter Looney, Sr. and Ida Reynolds Looney. He is survived by: his significant other Peggy Rushbrooke Looney; his sister Jeanie Tron; his sons, Terry Looney (Amanda) and Rick Looney (Kimberly); his grandchildren, Andrew Looney (Ayron), Melissa Carroll (Patrick), Craig Looney (Kimberly), Hayley Looney, Anna Looney and McKenna Gregorio; and his great grandchildren, Keegan Carroll, Parker Carroll, Addison Looney, Lucas Carroll and Aiden Looney.
In lieu of flowers the family suggest that memorial donations be made to Swansonville Methodist Church, 16492 Franklin Turnpike, Dry Fork, VA 24549.
