It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Connie Michael Compton of Dry Fork, Virginia, born in Martinsville, Virginia, who passed away on July 9, 2023, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his mother Gertrude Seay Compton; and his brother James Bernard Compton (J. B.). He is survived by: his father Gerald Compton Sr.; his brothers, Gerald Compton Jr. (Betty), Leon Compton, Travis Compton and Glenn Wesley Compton (Tammy); his children, Clint Wayne Compton, Kimberly Anne Straub (Jimmy), Connie Janelle Compton and Trisha Lynn Oakes (Jon); his grandchildren, Michael McGee, Kailey Straub, Samantha Turner, Kevin Monahan, Devin Dickenson, Stephen Moss, Kristen Moss, Abigail Compton, Addison Compton, Charlotte Compton and Aurora Oakes; and his great grandchildren, Madilynn Mcgee, Harley McGee, Imoen McGee and Holden Turner.
