He is survived by: his wife Violet Bowman Viars-Draper; his children, Wilbert Ray "Will" Viars, Jr., Dublin and Kevin Viars (Amy); his pet Cave; his grandchildren, Alicia Viars, Trinity Hesseltine and Alex Gooch; his great grandchild Emogen Weeks; and his siblings, Tom Viars and Nellie Pettit (Pulaski).
Visitation was held on Tuesday, February 4th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Bower Funeral Home - Chapel (1631 Bob White Blvd, Pulaski, VA 24301). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, February 4th 2025 at 6:00 PM at the same location. A committal service was held on Wednesday, February 5th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Memorial Christian Church Cemetery (2479 Burleigh Horton Rd, Draper, VA 24324).
