He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur L. "Jug" and Beulah Christian Rice; and his sister Juanita Breeden. He is survived by: his children, Angela Dawn Smith of Pulaski, VA, Robert "Robbie" Rice, Jr. of Christiansburg, VA and John Rice of Morristown, TN; and his sister Bonnie Dean (David) of Draper, VA.. He is also survived by grandchildren, his numerous nieces and nephews, and his extended family and friends.
