Though her name may fade from the lips of time, the imprint Evelyn Jane leaves upon the hearts of her loved ones remains eternally vivid — a testament to the depth of her spirit and the richness of her legacy.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Buford Gravley and Rosie Bass Gravley; and her husband Edward Easter. She is survived by: her children, Terri Easter, Jane Dove (Chris), Shirley Easter and Sara Ayers (Cheyenne); and her siblings, Doug Gravley (Jackie), B. F. Gravley and Bobbie Burton (Danny). She is also survived by six grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson.
Visitation was held on Monday, February 17th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel (1035 N Main St, Hillsville, VA 24343). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, February 18th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Tuesday, February 18th 2025 at the Bethany United Methodist Church Cemetery (1384 Lead Mine Rd, Austinville, VA 24312).
