He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Vinton Hopkins, Sr. and Emma Collins Hopkins; his wife Frances Hagee Hopkins; and his children, Karen, Randy and Timmy Hopkins.
He is survived by: his children, Sue Halsey (Gary), Mike Hopkins (Jeannie), Dublin, Maria "Reedy" Rupe (Craig), Pulaski, Sarah Taylor (N. R.), Wytheville and Casey Hopkins (Elizabeth); his grandchildren, Sky, Amanda, Breeden, Jordan, Kyle, Makayla and Olivia; his great grandchildren, Riley, Angel and Eleanor; his brother Thomas Hopkins; and his sisters-in-law, Connie Huff Hopkins and Nora King Hopkins.
