With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Betsy Wilson Chandler (Draper, Virginia), born in Rockingham, North Carolina, who passed away on September 30, 2018 at the age of 89. She was predeceased by: her husband Joseph Washington Chandler, Jr.; and her sister Gayle W. Odell. She is survived by: her grandfather Sidna Allen; her children, Joseph Chandler, III (Nina) of Eden, Lisa Owen (Stanley) of Blairs, VA and Beth Chandler-Fowler of Greenville, SC; and her siblings, Mitchell B. Wilson of Eden, James "Sonny" Wilson, III (Brenda) of Eden, Rose Lovelene Thorpe of Greensboro and Kathy W. Young of Roxboro. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren.
