He was predeceased by: his parents, Kermit Tucker Tharpe and Irene Royster Tharpe; and his siblings, David Tharpe, Curtis W. Tharpe, Wade Tharpe and Joyce T. Nichols.
He is survived by: his wife Ann Scott Tharpe; his children, Judy T. Forlines, Donna T. Crews and Timothy Ray Tharpe (Lisa); his brother Harold B. Tharpe (Margaret); his grandchildren, Krystle Whitney (Jared), Danielle (Kevin), Desiree (Jake), Dylan James, Josh and Lexy; his great grandchildren, Kendrix, Arbor, Bryson, Nolan and Harper; and his great-nephews, Tucker, Clark, Danny Crews and David Forlines. He is also survived by nieces and nephews; also many great nieces and nephews.
Donations may be made to the Lebanon United Methodist Church Cemetery Fund, The Barksdale Cancer Foundation, or flowers are welcomed.
