We are sad to announce that on February 28, 2024, at the age of 80, Deacon James Roland Anderson Jr. of Doswell, Virginia passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, James Roland Anderson, Sr. and Pearle Temple Anderson; and his sisters, Bessie Chappell, Hattie Pleasants, Naomi Pleasants and Ophelia Robinson.
He is survived by: his wife Helen Chappelle Simms Anderson; his stepchildren, Constance Winston, Cheryl Robinson, Mary Carter, Bessie Bartee (Richard) and Curt Simms (Connie); and his sister Veronia Eberhardt (Henry). He is also survived by grandchildren, great-grandchildren, as well as many step-grandchildren and step-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
