He was predeceased by: his wife Marion Morrison Boyd; his parents, Susie Boyd and Starlin Perry Boyd; and his siblings, Wheeler Boyd, Tommy Boyd, Berchie Oakley and Velva Winston.
He is survived by: his children, John Michael Boyd (Susan), Jay Morrison Boyd (Lynn) and Perri Boyd Toombs (Troy); his grandchildren, Michele Witherow (John), Michael Boyd, Megan Mittendorff (Kenny), Morgan Boyd, Matthew Boyd, Jacob Toombs and Zachary Toombs; and his great grandchildren, Chase Boyd, Lacy Witherow and J. J. Witherow.
