He is survived by: his wife Sue L. Shortt Newberry; his son Brian A. Newberry (Rayetta) of Raven, Virginia; his grandchildren, Chloe Newberry and Brayden Newberry; and his nieces and nephews, Teresa McGlothlin (Jerry) of Richlands, Sherry Street, Kennith Miller and Joey Miller.
