Virginia Smith Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Virginia Smith of Doran, Virginia, who passed away on October 23, 2022 at the age of 93. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Rufus Brittian Altizer and Della Pearl Day; her husband Raymond Shular Smith Sr.; her siblings, Albert Altizer, Carrie Altizer, Roy Altizer, Lera Short, John Altizer, Henley Altizer, Molly Meadows and Ruby Ward; and her granddaughter Margret Ann Smith.
She is survived by: her sons, Raymond S. Smith (Brenda) of Chesterfield, VA, Dwight Smith (Mary) of Cedar Bluff, VA, Tim Altizer (Marilyn) of Cedar Bluff, VA and Barry Smith (Karen) of Midlothian, VA.; and her siblings, R. B. Alitzer (Glenda) of Jewell Ridge, VA, Kate Honaker of Dothan, AL and Sadie Mackey of Bearwallow, VA. She is also survived by eight grandchildren; seven great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
