He was predeceased by: his parents, John William Florence, Sr. and Josephine McLaughlin Florence. He is survived by: his wife Joy Florence; his daughter Jessica Florence; his brothers, John William Florence, Jr. (Ardelle) and Thomas S. Florence (Linda); and his close friends, Kenny Bage and Keith Slaughter. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Lebanon Baptist Church building fund and the Virginia Sheriff's Association.
