It is with great sadness that we announce the death of George VanBuren Sims of Disputanta, Virginia, who passed away on August 7, 2024, at the age of 73, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, George Addison and Nancy Bowser Sims; his son George Aaron Sims; and his mother-in-law Zella Wilson. He is survived by: his wife Sandy Sims; his daughter Valerie Phillips (Emily Campbell); his grandchildren, Kimberly, Jeremy, Angel, Zoey, Abram and Gwen; and his father-in-law John Wilson (Leigh).
