She was predeceased by: her parents, William Gordon Jones and Helen Grace McConkey Jones; her husband Robert Couch; and her son Donald A. Helsel Jr.. She is survived by: her son Douglas Ray Helsel (Tammy); her grandchildren, Amy Marshall Cole, Erica Forbes, Renee Helsel, Matthew A. Marshall and Donald A. Helsel III; her great grandchildren, Landon, Evan, Hayden, Emma and Laney; and her sister Linda Orton (Phil).

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Swift Creek Baptist Church.
