He is survived by: his parent Alma Joyce; his wife Sandra Vaden Joyce; his sisters, Carla Collins, Donna Dillon and Sandra Adams; his sons, Paul Ormand and Timothy Ormand; his grandchildren, Elizabeth, Iyshay, Alexis, Tina and Melissa; and his great grandchild Haleigh. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the VCU Massey Cancer Center, P.O. Box 843042, Richmond, VA 23284 in memory of Carl Joyce.
