He was predeceased by: his parent Richard Claybourne Bailey; his daughters, Terrie Gilmore and Lori Bailey; and his siblings, Gertrude Steward, Emma Virostek, George Bailey, Jimmy Bailey and Robert Bailey.

He is survived by: his parent Alice Bailey; his wife Sissy Bailey; his children, Claiborne Lee Bailey (Melanie), Kenneth Droddy (Diane), Julie Stamper (Bob) and Shelly Martin (Darrel); his grandchildren, Alicen Rodolph (Luke) of Fayetteville, NC, Nicki Stephenson of Dinwiddie, VA, Myah Bailey of Spokane, WA, Thomas Minneti and Wayne Droddy, Jr.; his great grandchild Colton Stephenson of Dinwiddie, VA; and his mother-in-law Estelle H. Wilkins.
