He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard Edwin Lewis and Alma Butterworth Lewis; and his brother-in-law Cary Shultz. He is survived by: his wife Barbara Shultz Lewis; his sons, Richard Clay Lewis and William Hunt Lewis; his grandsons, Henry William Lewis and Hunter Seonaidh Lewis; his sister Julia Lewis Roberts (Thomas Warren Roberts); and his siblings-in-law, Fred Shultz (Margaret), Steve Shultz (Penn) and Pam Shultz. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
