He was predeceased by: his parents, Ribble Carpenter Clarke, Jr. and Annie Winfield Clarke. He is survived by: his wife Linda Poole Clarke; his children, Carl Ray Clarke, Jr. (Christie) and Sarah Clarke Gunn (David); his grandchildren, Miranda Dale Clarke, Kevin Allen Gunn and Ryan Carl Gunn; and his sister Faye Clarke Spiers (Robert Hall).
