He was predeceased by: his parents, Ralph Joseph and Evelyn Vaughan Kaufman; and his sister Marilyn Kaufman Howerton. He is survived by: his wife Janet Chandler Kaufman; his son Ralph Charles Kaufman, Jr. (Cara); his granddaughter Dana Kaufman; his brother Robert Joseph Kaufman (Barbara); and his siblings-in-law, Glenda Coburn (Gerry), Johnny Howerton (Cheryl) and Jim Chandler (Linda). He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
