She was predeceased by: her parents, Orion Lewis and Sarah Pauline Hawkes Birdsall; her husband Warren Carney Bain; her son Preston Carney Bain II; and her brother Orion Lewis Birdsall Jr..
She is survived by: her children, Warren "Chip" Birdsall Bain (Cindy) and Sara Lynn Bain; her grandchildren, Jessica Elmore (Jon), Jacob Bain (Tina), Hatcher Bain, Carson Bain, Jazlyn Bain (Daniel), Jae Bain, Lindsay Johnson (Thad) and Daniel Bain (Christina); her sisters-in-law, Gwendolyn Carter and Peggy Bain; and her nieces, Carole Gwen Carter and Anna Birdsall Prieto (Terry). She is also survived by many other cousins, extended family members, and close friends.
