She was predeceased by: her parents, Henry Clay and Annie Bell Thomas Newsome; and her husband Carlton R. West. She is survived by: her children, Jeffrey West-Armistead (Rebecca) of North Chesterfield, VA and Kimberly Eanes (Mark) of Lynchburg, VA; her grandchildren, Nicholas West of Morgantown, WV, Erica Mitchell (Lee) of Mechanicsville, VA and Olivia Eanes of Lynchburg, VA; her great grandchildren, Madeline and Amelia; and her brother Madison Newsome (Nit) of Wilmington, NC. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
