She was predeceased by: her parents, Raymond Shell and Virginia Shell of Roanoke Rapids, NC; her brothers, Walter of Litchfield, IL and Bill (Roanoke); and her grandson Jim Bain of Dinwiddie.
She is survived by: her children, Joe Bain (Jennifer) of Freeman, Jenny Barnes (Michael) of Pendleton, NC, Barbara Hale (Dennis) of Church Road and Carolyn Bain of Prince George; her siblings, Tonya Mahaffey (Chuck) of Chester and Billy Newton (Shari) of Roanoke Rapids, NC; her sister-in-law Phyllis Shell of Litchfield, IL; and her son Billy Bain. She is also survived by 9 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild, many nieces, nephews and cousins.
