He was predeceased by: his parents, Claude C. Simmons and Thelma Wray Simmons; his wife Mary Ann Rolland Simmons; and his brothers, Ray Simmons and Richard Simmons.
He is survived by: his daughters, Crystal Simmons Spiers (Neal) and Crissy Simmons Capell (Junnie); his grandchildren, Jacob Cliborne (Gabby), Adam Spiers, Macy Montgomery (D. J.) and Austin Spiers; his great grandchildren, Aubree, Carter Cliborne and Avery Montgomery; his nephew Scott Simmons (Christy); and his cousin Alexander Simmons (Janice).
