He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard Frank and Emma Raikes Allen; and his brothers, Lynn, George, Acie, Billy, Charlie, John, Jimmy, Richard Jr., Henry and Roy.
He is survived by: his sisters, Katie Allen Dunkum and Lucille Allen Dunkum; his significant other Linda; his children, Monte Allen (Pennie) and Vonda Wharam (Curtis); his great grandchildren, Kelby Wharam (Sam), Molly Midkiff (Drew), Brittney Mitchell (Thomas), Megan Crickenberger (Mitch) and Drew Allen; and his caregiver Katie Grammer.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 27th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Dunkum Funeral Home (16923 Oak St, Dillwyn, VA 23936). A funeral service will be held on Friday, February 28th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Friday, February 28th 2025 at the Browns Chapel Church Cemetery (1711 Gravel Hill Rd, Dillwyn, VA 23936).
