She was predeceased by: her parents, Charlie Patton and Dainty Jamerson; and her siblings, Arnold "Arnie" Darwin Patton and Barbara Elaine Dees. She is survived by: her children, Terry "Bo" Collins (Debra) of Buckingham and Kimberly "Aggie" Collins Akens of Staunton; her grandchildren, Daniel Akens and Charity Akens of Staunton; her brothers, Paul Nelson Patton (Sue) of Richmond and David William Patton of Dillwyn; and her sister-in-law Betty Patton of Richmond. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Memorial contributions may be made to Glenmore Fire Department, in lieu of flowers.
