He is survived by: his mother Anna Jane Vernon; his sister Margaret Whorley; his wife Sharon Davis Vernon; his daughter Jerri Vernon; his son-in-law Jason Tharpe; his siblings, Robert "Rob" Vernon (Susan), James "Jim" Vernon, Lillie "Mae" Powell (James), Connie King, Tammy Vernon and Theresa Chilcote; and his pets, Chase, Isabel, Miggy and Little Miss. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
