It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Genevieve Ethelene Shumaker of Dillwyn, Virginia, who passed away on August 30, 2022, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Samuel Reynolds and Laura Wright Reynolds; her husband William Thornhill "Peanut" Shumaker; her son Wallace Layne Shumaker; and her siblings, Kenneth Reynolds, Janie Cimino, June Adt, Annette Blanks and Josephine Whitten.
She is survived by: her children, William Shumaker (Michelle) and Laura S. Spittle (David); her granddaughter Lauren Raye Romer (Gary); her great grandchild Berkeley Romer; and her sisters, Arlene Childress, Joyce Brinkley (George) and Lynda Arndt. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and extended family and friends.
