He was predeceased by: his parents, John Daniel Allen and Bessie Sharp Allen; his brother J. C. Wharam (Peggy); and his pet Katie. He is survived by: his wife Judi Allen of Allen's Ambulance; his daughter Donna Wood; his granddaughter Madison Wood; his sister Debbie Snoddy (Dean); and his cousin Bo Allen. He is also survived by niece and several nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, December 20th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Dunkum Funeral Home (16923 Oak St, Dillwyn, VA 23936). A funeral service was held on Saturday, December 21st 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Saturday, December 21st 2024 at the Cedar Baptist Church Cemetery (3932 Bell Rd, Dillwyn, VA 23936). A reception will be held on Saturday, December 20th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Dunkum Funeral Home (16923 Oak St, Dillwyn, VA 23936).
