He was predeceased by: his parents, Lloyd Phipps and Stella Phipps; and his sisters, Bertha Phipps Mullins, Elmira Phipps Smith, Irene Phipps Haynes and Lorene Phipps Crawford.
He is survived by: his brothers, Sylvester Phipps, Vernon Phipps, Clifford Phipps, Avery Phipps, James Phipps and Chester Phipps; his wife Sheila Phipps; his daughters, Christy Phipps McKenzie (Bradley) and Misty Phipps Hill (Dump); his grandchildren, Samantha Stanley, Ronald Stanley, Trell Fleming and Ayla Barton; his siblings, Kyle Phipps, Lester Phipps, Paul Phipps, Mary Phipps Deel and Martha Phipps Musick; and his pet Nellie.
