It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Rita Mae Franklin of Dickenson County, Virginia, born in Clintwood, Virginia, who passed away on March 13, 2023, at the age of 74, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Woodrow Wilson Rasnick and Billie Ruth Dellinger Rasnick; her husband Jerry Lynn Franklin; and her sister Christine Reedy. She is survived by: her son Woodrow Willis "Willie" Franklin of Abingdon, Virginia; and her sisters, Merle "Sammie" Cooper of Dante and Yvonne "Von" Rasnick of Abingdon, Virginia. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
