He was predeceased by: his father Frank Benson; his stepmother Mae Benson; his mother Hattie Fogg Robinson; and his stepfather Bob Robinson. He is survived by: his siblings, Marvin, Lewis, Jack Benson and Evanne Robinson; his brother-in-law Paul S. Green, Jr.; his wife Margaret Milby Benson; and his sister-in-law Joyce Green Reisinger (Howard). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts can be made to the Middlesex Volunteer Rescue Squad or Zoar Baptist Church both in Deltaville, VA.
