He was predeceased by: his father Lewis Winston Wright Sr.; his grandmother Huffine Wright; his half-brother Harold Wright; his children, Douglas, Don and Gwyn Wright; and his half-brother William Wright.
He is survived by: his wife Sandra Smith Wright; his children, Lewis Winston Wright III (Anne), Laura Louise Carnal (Sandy) and Roger Thomas Wright; the mother of his children Nancy Holt Garver; his grandchildren, Abram Harris, Stewart Parrish (Maegan), Jennifer Wright, Andrew Wright and Ty Wright; his stepchildren, Kimberley Anne Young, Diane Young Volinsky (John) and Keith Russell Young; and his stepgrandchildren, Kai Bailey, Ethan Volinsky, Ellen Alford (Ben), Grace Volinsky, Daes Farris and Jack Volinsky.
