With heavy hearts, we announce the death of John Byron Wake Sr. of Deltaville, Virginia, who passed away on August 3, 2022 at the age of 98. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Willard White and Thelma White; his siblings, Herman, Bowdion, Louise and Ann; and his son Billy.

He is survived by: his wife Carolyn; his sons, John (Sharon), Jim (Debbie) and Bob (Nancie); his grandchildren, Lee (Kelly), Byron, Molly (Jason), Eric (Caroline), Will (Tiffany), Caroline and Daniel; his great grandchildren, Kellen, Brynley and Preston; and his sister-in-law Phyllis Summerfield.

In lieu of flowers, and to recognize the efforts of Julian Metts, World Pediatric Project, Linwood Cook and Friends of Barnabas, whom made such a difference in our world, please consider a donation in their honor.
