He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph B. Anderson, Sr. and Helen Louise Rose Anderson; and his siblings, Joseph B. Anderson, Jr. and Betty Poland. He is survived by: his daughters, Melanie Blunt (Governor Matt Blunt) of Delaplane and Holli Carlson of Springfield; his grandchildren, Branch, Brooks Blunt, Jeffrey Suddarth, Jacob and Joshua Carlson; and his sister Helen Hyre of West Virginia. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, the Middleburg Community Center, and hospice.
