It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Mary Davenport Lunsford (Delaplane, Virginia), born in Gordonsville, Virginia, who passed away on April 2, 2021, at the age of 100, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Wallace Linwood Davenport and Agnes Lillian Dempsey Davenport; her siblings, Vivian Davenport, Wallace, Ted and John Davenport; her husband James Richard Lunsford; and her children, James Garland Lunsford, Doris Allen Reed of Delaplane and Vivian Carolyn Fishback of Fredericksburg. She was also cherished by six grandchildren and many great grandchildren, and great, great grandchildren.
The family has requested that instead of buying flowers, to please make a donation in her memory to Cool Spring Methodist Church, P.O. Box 41, Delaplane, VA 20144.
