She was predeceased by: her parents, Roy Nicholas and Mary Ervine Collins (Rawley); her spouse Francis Leo "Bud" Whitson; and her brothers, Howard, Rawley, Jared and Dick Collins.
She is survived by: her children, Jean Smith (Randy) of Deerfield, Joyce Smith (Ron) of Roanoke, Julie Wales (David Armstrong), Ken Whitson (Patty) of Deerfield and Dennis Whitson of Deerfield; her grandchildren, Shane Smith (Jasmine), Laura Matthews (Kelly), Chad Smith, Trevor Smith (Amanda), Chris Smith (Starr), Samantha Cooper (Matthew), Shawn Wales (Heisha) and Dylan Wales (Elizabeth); and her great grandchildren, Gracen Ellingson, Adilyn Matthews, Karsen Wales, Emily Matthews, Piper Smith, Reef Smith and Rymer Cooper.
