He was predeceased by: his parents, Angus Dove and Mary See Dove; his wife Lottie V. Dove; his sons, Gary Dove and James Dove; his son-in-law Wayne Strawderman; his great grandchild Justin Dean; and his siblings, Brosie, Lester, Marvin Dove and Ressie Wilkins.
He is survived by: his daughters, Esther Strawderman of Lost River, WV and Yvette Auville (Stanley, Jr.) of Dayton; his grandchildren, Bambie Dean (Kevin), Shelia McDonaldson (Kenny), Lorie Anderson (Brad), Lisa Thacker (Tim), Lanna Higgs (Tim), Leann Sutherland (Adam), Jimmy Dove (Suzy), Timmy Dove (Leslie), Brandon Auville, Brett Auville, Wanda Frye and Linda Carpenter; his sister Dessil May of Harrisonburg; and his daughters-in-law, Mary Dove and Ruth Dove. He is also survived by 14 great grandchildren; 7 great great grandchildren; a number of nieces and nephews.
