He was predeceased by: his parents, Israel Rohrer and LaRue Zaida Showalter (Heatwole); his wife Lydia Virginia Rhodes; his brothers, Howard Showalter (Wilda), Warren Showalter (Ina), Joseph Showalter (Anna Ruth), Claude Showalter (Grace) and Mark Showalter (Naomi); and his brother-in-law Glenn Rohrer.
He is survived by: his children, Norma Yoder (Gordon) of Dayton, Lois Shank (Larry) of Bridgewater, Alice Good (Raymond) of Dayton, Faye Good (Allen) of Dayton, Eldon Showalter (Joyce) of Bridgewater, Glen Showalter (Linda) of Dayton, Leon Showalter (Dorothy) of Mt. Crawford and Kevin Showalter (Ellen) of Dayton; and his sister Annis Rohrer. He is also survived by 33 grandchildren; 110 great-grandchildren; and 8 great-great-grandchildren.
