He was predeceased by: his parents, James Ryland Sr. and Mildred Louise Sweet (Thomas); and his sister Barbara. He is survived by: his wife Shirley Ann Sweet (Mooney); and his children, Todd Sweet (Stephanie) and Kim Sweet.
Due to Covid-19 restrictions, a private graveside service will be held at the Dayton National Cemetery, 4400 W. Third St, Dayton, OH 45428.
